Buy your fall mums and pumpkins. Try your luck at the Chinese Auction, take chances to win prizes, be informed by our many informational booths. Let your children enjoy the children’s play area, take them on an Amish buggy ride, a pony ride, and take part in the children’s activities provided. They can paint or carve a pumpkin, do a sand art necklace, get their face painted and more. When the clock strikes the hour, children’s music will begin to play which invites all children to the stage to dance. Be sure to bring your appetite to enjoy the great country cooking! Rural Valley is a quaint all American town with a population of 922. Approximately 382 households, and 267 families reside in the borough, which is 2.1 square mile. The major industry of Rural was coal mining until recent years. Rural Valley resides 8 miles from one of the largest Amish communities of Western Pennsylvania. In Rural Valley are the friendliest and most genuine people, which you will meet, as they all come out for the festival. Their crafts are not only unique but done with craftsmanship and heart.
